Recommended Bee Pollen Dosage
Now that you know some of the health benefits of bee pollen, you're probably wondering what the proper bee pollen dosage is. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
First of all, if you've never taken bee pollen before or you are allergic to bee stings, it's safest ot start by taking a very small quantity of bee pollen, and then increasing the dosage gradually.
Start by eating just a few granules to introduce your body (and your taste buds) to the pollen. Then, increase the dosage to a teaspoon or so the next day.
One or two tablespoons a day is a good dosage to build up to, but if you're an athlete or you simply want to take full advantage of the health benefits of bee pollen, you can increase the dosage to a cup a day. Just remember, start gradually, and listen to your body.
It may take some time for your body to get used to having so much nutrition, especially if your diet does not consist of much fruits or vegetables. Bee pollen is filled with a bunch of vitamins and nutrients, so your body will be relieved to finally have some good stuff in it!
I personally consume bee pollen as a snack food. Every once in a while, I'll eat a tablespoon between meals when I'm hungry, or before I exercise.
